So you’re looking for a competitor’s review on Truth About Abs…
Let us first say that this isn’t going to be fluff review — we know too much about exercise physiology and nutrition to be so easily impressed. We’ll tell you our professional opinions, and spill what we see as the pros and cons — flat out.
DON’T TRUST ALL THE CRAP ONLINE: With all the money motivation these days, finding an unbiased review is practically impossible. Whenever any of these products have affiliates (meaning people who can sell it for a profit), everyone is all aglow in praise. Heck, there are even people selling this who have never set foot in a gym! That’s the main beef we have with a product like this — the hype around it can be almost nauseating. But, putting that aside, here’s our truth about…Truth About Abs.
What is Truth About Abs? First of all, the book was written by the same guy who created Busy Man Fitness.com. His name is Mike Geary and his previous stuff has many followers. Here at Flatten Abs Now, we’re a little jealous of that, admittedly, but we’ll try not to let that seep into our objective assessment of Truth About Abs!
You can imagine that in the fitness world, and then specifically in the flatten abs world, everyone knows everyone else. And, since a trainer’s education and experience is infused into whatever they create. we look, first, at what someone is all about before we even size up their product. Geary’s background speaks for itself — that isn’t the problem. What was surprising, however, was that Geary expanded from his previous base!
To be honest, since this is our specialty, we knew most of this stuff, already. However, there were some real gems. Gotta admit it. .
Back to the review…
Again, let us remind you that we won’t hype up Truth About Abs. People rely on us to give a good critique. And that’s what we’ll do — and you can then decide for yourself.
What do you get?
You get a book. The book is basically a training manual on how to get the abs you want. No software and no extra frills.
The Good and The Bad
So, here is what baffled us a bit. Geary, who became known for his expertise in the home workout with Busy Man Fitness, ended up including just as many gym exercises as home exercises. He doesn’t reveal any “secrets”, really, but he does do a decent job of dispelling some pretty stunting myths. Especially about what to focus on as you’re doing the exercises. What most people don’t realize is that form creates results. You’ve got to pay attention.
Now, If you want 6-pack abs handed to you on a silver platter, this is not for you. You have to work out to get results. However, if you already work out and can’t seem to get flatten your abs, then this will help.
Our results with our clients are the same as Geary’s. Not as impressive as some of the hype, but good, nonetheless. For instance, even though our clients don’t lose 7 inches in 11 weeks, after 3 months, their abs do start to show. And since we know what happens for our training clients, and use a lot of the same techniques that Geary presents, we know that Truth About Abs will give you the coveted six pack.
You will learn some cool things like:
- The science behind getting great abs
- The Diet & Nutrition you need
- Over 50 exercises – home workouts and gym workouts
- Why the cardio approach is nothing but a myth
The book has a lot of information, maybe a bit too much. But, to be fair, when we’re face-to-face with our clients, we have the luxury of spoon-feeding them. This is something that Geary can’t do in a book, obviously.
Basically, you learn that it takes time and effort to get 6-pack abs. But you also learn how to use your effort in a smart way — so that you get their efficiently.
